About Me
Hi, I’m Linda Conrad, a PPR-certified pickleball coach and one of the few ambidextrous players in North Texas. I’m a 63-year-old DUPR 3.66 athlete training my way toward 4.0+, and I specialize in coaching seniors, beginners, and players returning from injuries — especially those who never played tennis and want a coach who teaches in a simple, patient, encouraging way.
Pickleball came into my life at a time when I wanted movement, community, and a new challenge. As a retired U.S. Army Veteran, I understand discipline, resilience, and rebuilding strength — and I bring that mindset to every lesson. I teach players how to move smarter (not harder), stay safe, use both sides of the body, and build confidence at the kitchen and beyond.
Being ambidextrous has shaped my coaching philosophy: ✔ better balance ✔ cleaner footwork ✔ smarter anticipation ✔ more control at every angle
And I’ve found that these principles work beautifully for seniors and adult beginners who want to improve without strain or overwhelm.
Whether you want to learn the basics, build a safer foundation, refine your soft game, or take your skills to the next level, I’d love to help you become the best version of yourself on the court — one intentional shot at a time.
My experience
Who I teach
What my lessons are like
My lessons are calm, clear, and confidence-building. I specialize in seniors and beginners who want to move smarter, not harder. I teach simple, intentional techniques that help you feel balanced, in control, and confident at the kitchen. As an ambidextrous player, I bring a unique approach to paddle positioning, anticipation, and soft-game strategy that helps you improve quickly — even if you’re not ambidextrous. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and focused on safe movement so you can enjoy pickleball without strain. Every session blends fundamentals, smart footwork, and real-game situations, so you leave knowing exactly what to practice and why it works.
How to prepare
I prepare for each lesson with a clear plan tailored to the player I’m working with. Before we step on the court, I review your goals, your level, and the skills you want to improve. I create a simple, structured lesson that builds confidence, improves paddle control, and reinforces safe movement patterns. As an ambidextrous player, I also prepare drills that strengthen balance, positioning, and anticipation from both sides of the body — something most coaches don’t offer. I study professional matches, review my own training notes, and stay up-to-date with PPR teaching methods so every session feels purposeful and encouraging. My goal is to show up ready, focused, and fully invested in helping you play better and feel better every time you step on the court.
