I learned pickleball in 2006 after attending a National Physical Education Conference. In 2018, the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) trained me as a Coach Developer to train and certify coaches. I developed and presented workshops for the PPR with an emphasis on youth and recreation coaching. I was hired in 2019 by USA Pickleball as a National Advisor for Recreation and Coach Education with responsibility for creating program resources and coaching content used nationwide. I was named Youth Pickleball Provider of the Year in 2022 by Racquet Sports Industry Magazine and have been published in Pickleball Magazine and Tennis Pro Magazine for my work on introducing racquet sports to youth, adults, and families. In addition to my passion for on-court coaching, I specialize in distance learning and virtual instruction for racquet sports and recreation organizations. I created the PPR Youth Play and Development Course in 2019 and more recently, the new PPR Recreation Coach Program in 2025.
