The Panhandle Smash

We are SO EXCITED to launch our "Players' Tour" in Amarillo with our first ever Players' Tour tournament!! We visited the Netplex facility mid-2025 and have been working on this tournament since, knowing this would be our choice for launching the Players' Tour by Victory Pickleball Series (VPS).

VPS is known for large tourneys (average 475 players) but we want to bring a tour to facilities that are better designed for around 200-250 players per tournament, allowing us to LIVE stream EVERY game! We will also submit every game video to VAIR for ratings. We will not be using DUPR for this event except to review DUPR ratings for each player to ensure they are in a rating-appropriate event. We have made the switch to VAIR which we believe will be a longer term, more stable rating system for pickleball.

EXPECT: What you can expect from a VPS tourney:

• 5 game minimum
• EVERY team advances from Round Robin into the Medal Brackets
• LIVE Streaming
• A Tournament Team that cares about the players, first!

SOFTWARE: Good Game Sports: We will run the tournament through Good Game Sports (ggsports.co) and there is an app available should players want to download it. VAIR: All players need a VAIR account (free at: https://bit.ly/3Z7NMtc) and all games will be submitted to VAIR.

REFUNDS: We will provide a full 100% REGISTRATION refund all the way until the day before your first scheduled tournament game. I believe in making our tournaments as desirable as possible and our "Day Prior" refund policy remains the best I've found.

EVENTS:
Friday - MS and WS. Men's Singles, Women's Singles events on Friday are expected to start around 4pm and are expected to finish prior to 10pm

Saturday - MD and WD. Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles events on Saturday aren't expected to start any earlier than 8am and are expected to finish prior to 9pm.

Sunday - MXD. Mixed Doubles events on Sunday aren't expected to start any earlier than 8:00am and are expected to finish prior to 6pm.

EVENT FORMAT:

1. All events will start with Round Robin games (aka "Pool Play") and are one game played to 11, WIN BY TWO for each match.
2. ALL TEAMS from each event will move into a single-elimination bracket to determine our Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal winners. Games are one game to 11, win by two except the final Gold/Bronze matches.
3. Gold and Bronze matches are ONE game to 15, win by 2.

EVENT SKILL QUALIFICATION: We encourage ALL players to play at, or above, their skill level and during our transition from DUPR to VAIR, we will use DUPR ratings to determine if players are in skill-appropriate events. Any player deemed to be playing below their skill-appropriate level will be asked to change events to an appropriate one.

RATING SYSTEM: The Players' Tour uses VAIR as its official player rating system. Many players do not yet have a VAIR rating and we are excited to introduce them to this new and highly competitive rating system. BALL: The 2026 Official Ball for the Victory Pickleball Series Players' Tour is the Vulcan VPro Flight.

VOLUNTEERS: We need volunteers! When registering you can click the "volunteer" option and we'll reach out to you to find the best fit for you!

SPONSORS: We need sponsors! We are behind in getting this tourney ready, so the TITLE sponsor slot is still available! $2,500 and this tourney will carry your company's name, logo, and link in 1000s of emails and 10k+ media mentions, posts, etc.

We have two "Platinum" sponsor slots available at $1,500 each. Our Gold sponsor level is $1,000 and our Medal Stand Sponsor level is $750. Finally we have "Court Level" sponsor slots available at $300 each. Each Court Sponsor will have their logo/info hung on a banner at their dedicated court!

Platinum and Gold sponsors will have banners printed with their logo, hanging on Championship court.

Platinum, Gold, and Medal Stand sponsors will be included in the Medal Stand banners and on ALL digital Medal presentation photos posted on our socials.
