Learn To Win DoublesLearn To Win Doubles
Two solid singles players lose to one real team. This clinic is about playing doubles as a unit: communicating on every ball, knowing who covers what, and running the patterns that win at the rec and tournament level. You'll learn to target the right opponent, take away the middle, and stop the errors that come from two players reaching for the same ball. Four players, 90 minutes. Turn two players into one team.
90-Minute Session Outline (max 4 players)
Warm-up (10 min)
Partnered rallies where the pair practices shifting together side to side. Coach frames the goal: in doubles, positioning and communication beat individual shot-making.
Block 1: Positioning and Moving as a Unit (18 min)
Default positions and connected movement: when one partner is pulled wide, the other slides to cover the middle, and the team advances and retreats together. Never leave the gap between you open. Live reps with the pair moving as one.
Block 2: Communication and Who Takes What (22 min)
The talking that prevents lost points: calling middle balls, "mine" and "yours," switching after a poach or a lob, and in/out calls so you let the out ball go. Backhand generally takes the middle. Reps that force constant communication under coach feed.
Block 3: Team Strategy and Patterns (25 min)
The game plan: target the weaker opponent, hit down the middle to cause confusion, keep the ball away from the strongest net player, and the basics of stacking to protect your best side. Choose the high-percentage play over the hero shot. Live points run from set strategies.
Live Play (12 min)
Games scored on teamwork: bonus for a point won off a called switch, a middle ball taken cleanly, or sticking to the game plan. Coach scores communication and positioning, not just winners.
Recap and Homework (3 min)
Two takeaways each, plus one communication habit for the pair to use in their next match.

HoudiniHoudini
Some points look lost until you refuse to lose them. This clinic is the art of staying alive: resetting a hard ball from deep in the court, digging out drives and speed-ups, and using the defensive lob to escape when you're out of position. You'll learn to extend rallies, frustrate bangers, and flip defense back to neutral. Four players, 90 minutes. Make them beat you three times, because the ball you get back wins more points than you think.
90-Minute Session Outline (max 4 players)
Warm-up (10 min)
Soft-hands rallies and a few driven balls to start absorbing pace. Coach frames the goal: defense isn't losing, it's buying time to get even.
Block 1: Resets Under Pressure (22 min)
Taking the speed off a hard ball from the transition zone and the baseline and floating it back into the kitchen. Get low, quiet paddle, give with the ball, no swing. Cue: you don't have to win this ball, just neutralize it. Reps of coach-driven balls players must reset while retreating or holding.
Block 2: Digs and Defensive Blocks (22 min)
Getting the paddle on the banger: compact, quick defensive hands, blocking the speed-up back low instead of swinging. Paddle up and out front, react don't reach. Live speed-up reps where the defender's only job is to survive the first ball and keep it low.
Block 3: Defensive Lobs and Scrambling (23 min)
The escape lob when you're pushed back or stretched wide, hit high and deep to buy time to recover. Then the footwork to scramble back into position, split-step, and re-enter the point balanced. Live reps that pull players out of position so they have to escape and reset.
Live Play (10 min)
Defense games: the defending team scores extra for turning a losing position back to neutral or winning a point they had no business winning. Coach scores grit and good resets, not just winners.
Recap and Homework (3 min)
Two takeaways each, plus one reset or dig drill to practice before playing again.
Pathway To Play - Dinks, Drives & Third ShotsPathway To Play: Development – Dinks, Drives & Third Shots
Duration: 60 minutes
Skill Level: Recreational
Punch Pass Eligible: Yes
Description:
The Pathway To Play: Development – Dinks, Drives & Third Shots class introduces recreational players to point construction and smart shot selection; a critical step in transitioning from simply hitting the ball to playing pickleball with purpose.
Players will learn how to control points using soft shots at the kitchen, apply pressure with well-placed drives, and make confident decisions on the third shot. Emphasis is placed on understanding when to play a soft shot versus when to be aggressive, helping players reduce unforced errors and improve consistency in live play.
Through structured drills and guided live-ball scenarios, coaches provide real-time feedback to reinforce good habits and strategic decision-making that translate directly to match play and open play.
What to Expect:
Dinking fundamentals, control, and common patterns
Drive mechanics, placement, and controlled aggression
Third-shot decision-making: drop vs. drive
Reset basics for neutralizing pressure
Shot selection awareness and point-building strategy
This class is ideal for players who want to move beyond reactive play and begin controlling rallies with smarter decisions, improved consistency, and greater confidence at the kitchen line.

Spin CitySpin City
Flat balls are easy to read and easy to attack. Spin changes everything. This clinic teaches you to brush topspin onto rolls and drives that dip down at your opponent's feet, and to carve slice that keeps the ball low and unattackable. You'll learn the mechanics, and just as important, when each one is the right tool. Four players, 90 minutes. Put shape on the ball and make it do the work.
90-Minute Session Outline (max 4 players)
Warm-up (10 min)
Gentle brushing rallies, first topspin then slice, to feel the paddle grip the ball. Coach frames the goal: spin is control first, offense second.
Block 1: Topspin Fundamentals and Roll Dinks (22 min)
The low-to-high brush: accelerate up the back of the ball with a loose wrist and let the spin bring it down. Build the roll dink that clears the net and dips at the opponent's feet, taking away their attack. Coach-fed reps, then live roll-dink rallies.
Block 2: Topspin Drives and Roll Volleys (20 min)
Apply topspin to the drive so it dips hard over the net instead of sailing, and to the roll volley you attack out of the air. Cue: swing up, finish high, trust the spin to drop it in. Reps off attackable balls.
Block 3: Slice and Staying Low (23 min)
The high-to-low carve: slice returns that skid low and buy time, slice resets that die in the kitchen, and the slice serve that changes the returner's rhythm. Keeping the ball low is what stops the other team from speeding up. Live low-ball reps.
Live Play (12 min)
Games that reward shape: bonus points for a roll or slice that forced a weak reply or an error. Coach scores control and shot choice, not just spin for its own sake.
Recap and Homework (3 min)
Two takeaways each, plus one spin stroke to groove on the wall before the next clinic

The FirefightThe Firefight
When the hands battle breaks out, the faster, calmer player wins. This clinic teaches you when to start the fire, where to aim it, and how to counter when it comes back at you. You'll build compact hand speed, a blocking paddle that turns their attack into your opportunity, and the ready position that lets you react instead of flinch. Four players, 90 minutes. Fire back and win the exchange.
90-Minute Session Outline (max 4 players)
Warm-up (10 min)
Quick-hands taps and reflex volleys at the kitchen to wake up the reaction time. Coach frames the goal: in a firefight, compact and ready beats big and late.
Block 1: When and Where to Speed Up (20 min)
Pick the right ball to attack: one you can take out of the air at or above net height. Best targets are the body, the dominant-side shoulder, and the hip, not the open court. Disguise the speed-up so it doesn't telegraph. Reps choosing and executing off coach feeds.
Block 2: Counters and Blocks (22 min)
Paddle up and out front, absorb the pace, and block the ball back low rather than swinging. Then progress to redirecting and counterattacking their speed-up. Cue: your first job is to survive the first ball, your second is to win the next one. Live counter reps.
Block 3: Hand Speed and Staying Compact (20 min)
Short, compact strokes with no backswing, resetting to ready position between every ball. Build multi-ball exchange sequences so players learn to fire, recover, and fire again without overreaching. Coach drives rapid sequences.
Live Play (15 min)
Firefight games: rallies that must start with a dink, and the first earned speed-up opens the exchange. Coach scores who stayed compact and controlled, not just who hit hardest.
Recap and Homework (3 min)
Two takeaways each, plus one reflex-volley drill to sharpen hand speed before the next clinic.

Pathway To Play - Volley & Overhead SmashPathway To Play: Development – Volley, Overheads & Footwork
Duration: 60 minutes
Skill Level: Recreational
Punch Pass Eligible: Yes
Description:
The Pathway To Play: Development – Volley, Overheads & Footwork class is designed to help recreational players become more confident, balanced, and efficient during faster-paced exchanges; especially at the net. This session focuses on the connection between movement, positioning, and shot execution, allowing players to react quicker and play with greater control.
Players will learn proper volley technique and paddle positioning to handle quick shots at the kitchen line, along with safe and effective overhead mechanics to finish points or reset control. Footwork and balance are emphasized throughout the session, helping players move efficiently, maintain stability, and recover quickly between shots.
Through structured drills and live-ball scenarios, players will develop better court awareness, smoother transitions, and improved confidence during net play.
What to Expect:
Proper volley technique and paddle positioning at the net
Overhead mechanics, recovery positioning, and shot selection
Footwork patterns, split-step timing, and movement efficiency
Lateral movement, balance, and court coverage
Transition zone fundamentals and controlled net approach
This class is ideal for players who want to feel more comfortable at the net, reduce rushed errors, and improve their ability to handle faster rallies during open play and match situations.
Advanced Kitchen WeaponsAdvanced Kitchen Weapons
Once you're comfortable at the line, these are the shots that steal points outright and put doubt in your opponents' heads. This clinic covers the erne, the around-the-post winner, net fakes that freeze the other team, and the poach that takes the point before they're ready. Four players, 90 minutes. Add the weapons that make good players great.
90-Minute Session Outline (max 4 players)
Warm-up (10 min)
Dinking and movement along the kitchen line, plus footwork reps stepping to the sideline. Coach frames the goal: these are high-reward shots, so we build the read and the footwork first, then the finish.
Block 1: The Erne (22 min)
What it is and when it's on: an opponent's predictable cross-court dink near the sideline. Footwork options covering the jump-around and the step-around outside the kitchen, contact out front, and legal foot placement. Disguise it so they don't see it coming. Reps off repeatable cross-court feeds.
Block 2: Around-the-Post (ATP) (18 min)
Recognizing the ball wide enough to go around the post instead of over the net. Get low, let it drift, and swing flat and around rather than up. Cue: there's no height limit around the post, so hit it. Fed wide balls for players to finish.
Block 3: Fakes and Poaches (25 min)
Deception at the net: the fake erne and the paddle fake to freeze the opponent, and shifting to bait a dink where you want it. Then poaching in doubles: reading the setup, timing the cross, and calling it with your partner. Live reps with communication required.
Live Play (12 min)
Games that reward weapons: bonus points for a clean erne, ATP, or poach won off a real setup. Coach scores good decisions, not just highlight attempts.
